I have been a student of leadership, and a watcher of leaders, for more than 10 years. I have seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. I’ve watched brass-clad leaders in the U.S. Army while standing at parade rest, higher-education leaders navigate complex ethical dilemmas, and pastors of churches both small and “mega.” Year after year, scenario after scenario, my fascination with leadership has only grown.
Simply put, I am better at leading the team I lead when I am immersed in great leadership literature and great conversations with talented leaders. Leaders.Do exists to provide helpful content that will inspire you to think more about leadership and, hopefully, become a better leader.
My name is Joshua Breland. I am a 32 year old husband, dad to 3 girls, and leader of a communications team at a large church in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have served as a combat arms soldier in the U.S. Army National Guard, lived in 6 states (LA, CO, OK, NM, NC, IN), and have experience in sales, communications, marketing, and, increasingly, SaaS.
